Butler now has a 2019 commit after 6’9 PF John Michael Mulloy gave a verbal pledge on Wednesday. Mulloy is from Carmel, Indiana and is a rising junior at Carmel High School. John describes his game as “a multidimensional player with a very high motor.”

Butler had just offered John last week on an unofficial visit and he knew right away that it was the school for him.

“As soon as I stepped on campus I had the feeling I wanted to be there! I am not big on counting up offers or anything and really felt that if I knew this is where I wanted to go why wait! The staff and fan base there is one of the best in the nation and it’s close to home!”

Mulloy is very excited about how he will be used in the Butler system.

“They showed how I will fit last week on my visit! They basically are going to use me exactly how I play a stretch big this is able to do multiple things whether it is rebounding, shooting or running the floor.”

Now that John has committed he said he wants to focus on “getting bigger and stronger and being able to play with more balance.”

When asked about what Butler fans can expect out of him, he said, “They can expect someone who is gonna give it there all every single game and that has a passion to win!”
