Rhode Island landed its second commitment from the 2018 class on Wednesday morning by getting a verbal commitment from, 2018 6’5 shooting guard, Tyrese Martin, of Massanutten Military Academy. Martin is very versatile player that can pretty much play the 1-4 on offense and can guard anywhere from the 1-4 on defense. He has shown that he can distribute the ball well, score from multiple areas on the court and can get to the basket off the dribble.

Martin talked about how he and the staff at Rhode Island had a tremendous relationship.

“They recruited me the hardest. The coaching staff and I built a great bond in a short period of time and the vision they have for me there when I arrive on campus is an opportunity a lot of schools wont give me.”

Rhode Island now currently has a two man 2018 class with Martin and 6’7 small forward Dana Tate.
